[½ÃÄ«°í ´ÙÀ̾] The First Day of High School in Chicago
A couple of weeks have passed since I arrived here in Chicago. I have two watches that point to the different time zones. Though my biorhythm has been set to the first, I should adapt my daily life to the second.
At the first day of school, as a matter of fact there's no students, I got up early in the morning, got dressed neatly, and went to school with my heavy eyes to attend Teacher Institute in a hurry.
On the previous day I dropped by the school to recognize how far it is. But I just could estimate it approximately. There were a lot of papers I've got in the meeting rooms. When I saw VSMSC on one of them, though I knew VS(Von Streuben), what's the meaning of MSC? In the middle of the meeting in auditorium I asked a teacher in front what it was. She answered to me that it is the full name of the school. The name of the school! There might be huge amount of questions I should ask. During the process of computer works and new teachers meeting, I tried to concentrate on the topics with bright eyes as best as I can.
However while those sentences poured down from the teachers' mouths, due to my drowsiness I just got to pick up some words I was used to, such as 'attendance policies', 'work orders', 'textbooks', 'supplies', 'lesson planning', ect.
My tasks I have to take a challenge are not only fluency in language, but education system, settlement, food and culture ect. That's not the tip of glaciers, but I get to go to the ocean beneath that I have never experienced.
Anyhow I'm going to think of it as a grateful thing. Let's look on the bright side as I have thought:an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
