Gold Rush in Amazon Jungle

Government broadcasting station Argentia Brazil reported on January 18, gold was recently discovered in the dense forest region along the Amazon River and that over 4,000 gold seekers are marching to the area.
The state attracting all the prospectors all of sudden is the southern region of Amazonas state. Currently, the place is luring not only gold hunters, but also general people. The news reports that people even go through the back country, where no human trace is to be seen, prospecting for gold.
The gold zone is called the ¡®Juma Gold Mine,¡¯ named after the Juma River that runs through the region. The area attracts more gold diggers since it is located in less than a one kilometer spot between Nobo Aripuanang and Apui cities, 453 kilometers from Manaus, the capital city of Amazonas state.
Brazil strictly regulates development rights of gold mines and allows development of certain businesses approved by the government. Accordingly, people are desperately looking for the treasure before the government begins administrative management.
The Brazilian government will establish a committee centered in the energy department sooner or later and plans to precisely investigate and develop the region.
