Laptop Computer, Best Gift for Prospective
University Students

A survey has revealed that prospective university students ranked a laptop computer as the most preferred gift for 2006. According to the survey conducted on Feb. 27 with 100 prospective students who visited Electro Land, 39% of the students replied that the most favorite gift they want to get is a notebook computer. Their second wish was a top-notched cell phone (19%), with a digital camera (11%), MP3 (9%), and PMP (7%) ranked in order.
The reason why they chose a laptop computer as first was due to the decline in prices, currently not making their home burdened, and portable weight equipped with mobile functions beyond time and place.
It was also stated that 33% consider price as the highest priority and 29% regard qualifications as the second. In particular, it was shown that they consider a graphic card an important part, as well as CPU and RAM, when purchasing a laptop computer. It is because of this new generation¡¯s lifestyle, familiar with on-line games and videos. Other priorities were mobility (21%), design (9%), and manufacturer 95%).
More interestingly, the survey showed that male students pursue practicality regardless of weight, whereas females favor mobility. In respect to the interrelationship between design and purchase, 56% of the interviewees said they are closely related. Electro Land will continue its sales event entitled ¡°Exciting Academic Year with Electro Land.¡±
