Domestic Banks Expand Market Share
It is hectic competition as domestic banks try to expand their market share.
The common goal of domestic banks is to enlarge their business sphere and remodel their field business-oriented structure, leading to greater competition for market share.
Busan Bank has already reduced the manpower at headquarters and placed them in the field businesses, setting aside indispensable teams. Additionally, the bank plans to boost its East Asia team for southeast economic market share. From next month, Busan Bank opens its Ulsan and Kyongnam branches aimed at southeast market share under the banner of ‘Leading Financial Institution in the Southeast Economic Belt’.
Kookmin Bank also consolidates its nonprofit-making organizations to streamline its business. A source from the bank says, “It is a strategy to attract prospective customers on the basis of field-oriented business marketing.”
However, Kyongnam Bank introduced a new personnel system that mainly employs workers no based on their working level and experience, but their qualification and aptitude.
