American Beef, except for bone, to be imported again
from April

The Korean government will restart importing American beef, which has been banned for two years because of mad cow disease (bovine spongiform encephalitis), though excluding bones.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that the final agreement was concluded at working-level meetings between Korea and the US to settle the matter of US beef imports.
According to the agreement, importing US beef is resumed except for bones. However, importing ribs and other beef products such as sausage and tail bones will be continue to be banned.
