More Direct Flights Available to Hiroshima and Sapporo
from Busan.
It is estimated there will be a 20 per cent increase in direct flights to Japan from Busan International Airport next year. Two of the new destinations to Japanese cities will include Hiroshima and Sapporo.
On the 27th, the Ministry of Transportation held a Korea-Japan Conference to agree on the increase in the number of flights leaving for Japan from Busan, raising the number from 40 times a week to 49 times a week.
Asiana airline will have the Busan to Hiroshima route three times a week from October next year. Korean Air will start a new flight schedule from Busan to Sapporo three times a week.
Airplanes of Korean Air from Busan to Fukuoka are going to leave seven times a week from the current schedule of five times a week due to a constant increase in passengers. Asian will also add one more flight per week.
Although Busan constantly requests establishing a direct flight from Busan to Haneda, they did not reach an agreement.
