Shipbuilding logistics center to be helpful.

It is good news that the Common Logistics Center will open in Busan, in May of next year, which shipbuilding machinery material businesses have long expected. Seven large shipbuilding companies jointly invested 100 million won for the Common Logistics Center. It is meaningful that the center is a successful model of mutual cooperation for both small and medium-sized shipbuilding machinery material companies and some large-scale corporations. They considered the competitiveness of local shipbuilding machinery material corporations and expedited the Common Logistics Center in August last year. The national government and Busan Metropolitan City approved the center this year after they had been delaying approval of both business and budget for building sites.
National and municipal budgets and private funds total 11.7 billion won for the business. They will build the center on five thousand pyung (1 pyung£½3.954 sq. yds.) at the construction site. The ripple effects will be magnificent as they open to companies and other businesses throughout the whole Busan area as well as throughout the Nongsan Industrial Complex and Western Busan Areas. The association expects to save 20% on transportation costs and 60% on warehouse charges, as well as a 20% increase in productivity.
As fractionation and digitalization is progressing in the midst of economic development, the market share of logistics is getting larger. They have to establish infrastructure for fast distribution of goods while conducting increases in business and business contracts, thanks to vitalizing on-line performance. In such a situation, it is imperative for them to build the logistics center.
The national government and Busan Metropolitan City will have to actively support in understanding the present need of other logistics centers for other main industries in Busan, in addition to the Shipbuilding Machinery Material Logistics Center. It is essential for them to secure common logistics centers that can connect small, medium and large companies in Busan and other districts to increase efficiency and international competitiveness.
It is hoped that the center will be established successfully and contribute to the co-development of shipbuilding machinery material logistics companies in Busan as well as other near areas.
