Students should pay more attention to self-control after SAT

On the 23rd of November, the Scholastic Aptitude Test began at the same time at 966 test centers in the 75 districts throughout the country. It is an unchanging scene that some students were walking fast into the test centers while their parents were waiting for their sons and daughters out side of the test centers, wishing their children do well on the test. It was better weather for the students to take the SAT than last year. The sun seemed to be shining on the shoulders of 593,806 students.

Although the students have been studying for the SAT for ten years, they must know that this is just the beginning. Although some may get bad results on the exam, they don't have to be disappointed. In the long course of life, success or failure is not dependent on only one chance. Invisible chances are coming in the course of life.

There are various ways to go. Some students may have always listened to the story of success from failure, from their predecessors. Some students are likely to fall into various temptations in order to soothe a sense of emptiness. They should make use of their leisure time to read books, to experience Mother Nature, and to revive their exhausted energy. Some students will have to make plans and study hard for a pending essay writing examination or a performing arts test.

Schools and city and district education offices should prepare measures to direct students effectively in order not to press them psychologically. There are various post-SAT programs for students, such as extending independent education programs, inviting instructors from other systems, and participating in outside events. Education offices and citizens groups together may well develop programs for academic and career counseling, internships at work, and cultural events. First of all, society and families should comfort students warmly and pay special attention to them so that they don't feel an emptiness of life.
