"The case of Professor Kang" will end as a political dispute

Justice Minister Chun Jung-bae exercised judicial authority and ordered Public Prosecutor General Kim Jong-bin not to arrest Professor Kang Jeong-ku on charges of violating the National Security Law, and to probe into the case.

The case was exaggerated to this extent in dispute over the identity of South Korea. In sum, it is not likely that the ruling party and the opposition will try to solve the pending problem cooperatively. In the view of the people, the case seems to be a dirty dog-eat-dog political strife for each party's own interests.

The opposition Grand National Party Chairwoman Park Geun-hye said yesterday, "If the system of liberal democracy collapses, the freedom of the people will lose its way." and pledged, "The fundamental identity of the nation is shaken so the opposition party will hold outdoor demonstrations to save the nation."

The Blue House responded with criticism, "The opposition party tries to go anachronistically back to the era of the cold war." Rep. Moon Hee-sang, chairman of the Uri Party, criticized, "the GNP tries to gloss over the matter of human rights with confusion of the country's identity." The ruling party and the Opposition have a hotter dispute over the identity of the nation or the colorization of the truth.

For a great cause of the nation, they should stop their exhausting ideological strife. If they don't stop, the result will be major social damage. Why do they criticize each other harshly?
They should govern the country from a broad viewpoint, trying to pay attention to the people and read their mind. The two parties are driving themselves into a whirlpool of political strife instead of conceding to each other as win-win partners.

They should know that now South Koreans are more mature about politics than in the past. They should stop their political dispute and try to solve the pending problems caused by the case of Professor Kang, who allegedly violated the anticommunist National Security Law by such things as the range of the independence of the prosecution and some modifications of the National Security Law. They also should try really hard to solve the problem for the normal daily life of the people.
In order to solve the political strife, the ruling party should take the lead because the ruling party is responsible for the fact that the Justice Minister's controversial directive interfered with the independence of the prosecution.
