New College-Graduates Draw Average Salary of 25,200,000won

Starting salaries for college graduates at a thousand national enterprises average 25,200,000 won. Types of business where a high level of yearly salary were researched are, in order, finance, insurance, securities, broadcasting, the press, ministry and public enterprises.

Pay-open, an information site of annual salaries, announced that, according to their survey, annual salary for newcomers in 845 businesses among a thousand enterprises ranking in sales, averages 25,200,000 won, including the fixed bonus and excluding the piece rate.

The maximum wage system is 37,000,000 won in financial circles like Shin-han Bank and Kyung-nam Bank, and the minimum annual salary is 15,000,000 won. This clearly shows a wage differential of 22,000,000 won.

To view prevailing wages by industry, finance, insurance and securities businesses show the highest salary as in 28,960,000 won. That compares to 20,330,000 won in manpower supplies and facility maintenance.

Followed by the financial world, broadcasting and the press come in second with 28,610,000 won. Third are ministry and public enterprises at 27,780,000 won. After that are oil refining and gas companies at 27,250,000 won, pharmaceuticals at 27,170,000 won, information and communication at 26,170,000 won, automotive and heavy industry at 26,120,000 won, machinery at 25,700,000 won and transportation and aviation at 25,520,000 won.
