Samsung to Sell Half a Billion Cell Phones This Year
It appears that Samsung Electronics can achieve its annual goal to sell 500 million cell phones.
According to a release by Samsung Electronics on Oct. 14, cell phone sales by the third quarter of this year has increased 10 percent compared to last year.
A source from Samsung said, “Even in the situation of lower priced cell phones that are preferred now, we can remain the highest in sales due to consecutively displaying various types of high priced cell phones equipped with the highest technologies.” “In particular, purchases of the Blue Black Phone hit a record in the market last November, expanding its sales in the domestic market."
It is known that Samsung also expects that cell phone sales will reach over 0.5 billion by the end of this year.
After the news release, a source from Samsung said, “Because Samsung considers its brand value, Samsung Electronics will develop lower priced cell phones as well as high priced cell phones which enable our brand to take root in the world electronics market."
