PDP TV Set Most Preferred by Newly Weds

According to an on-line survey, it appears that a PDP TV set is what most newly weds want. Results of the survey conducted by the on-line shopping mall, Auction, showed that nearly 53% of those who plan to get married this autumn replied that what they want most is a PDP TV set.
It can be assumed that as nowadays a large number of people enjoy watching DVDs at home, they think it is necessary to get a high-definition PDP TV set. Currently, when a customer purchases a TV set they keep it for at least 5 years before changing. Therefore, even though it may be an economic burden on them, they tend to try to purchase a PDP TV set. According to a recent survey, the price of a PDP TV set is over 2,000,000 won, which is much lower than last year.
However, although there is a similarity between brides and grooms regarding the PDP TV set as their number one item, we find that there is a big gap with regards to other wedding purchases. Nearly 21% of male respondents indicated that their number one choice was a home video play station, whereas almost 20% of females designated a robot vacuum cleaner and 19% wanted a dishwasher.
Most married couples said that the home where newly weds live should be prepared by the groom¡¯s side and home furnishings by the bride¡¯s side. From the survey, conducted with married couples and singles, we can assume that there is a big gap because singles said they favor preparing wedding supplies half-and-half.
