Large Family Restaurants Expanding in Busan

It is anticipated that big family restaurants are taking steps to expand in the Busan market so as to take a lead.

According to the local restaurant sector, one of the biggest family restaurants, VIPS, is to open new branches in Seomyon Judis Taehwa, Haeundae Centum City and three other locations, investing a total of 12 billion won by the end of this year

Currently, another well-known family restaurant, Outback Steakhouse, already opened new branches during the beginning of this year in Dongnae, Kyungsong, Haeundae, and Namchon, now operating a total of 7 branches.

Other internationally known, large family restaurants, Beniggan's and T.G.I. Friday also have their foot in the door, competing in the Busan market.

The explanation for the soaring fierce competition in the Busan market has it's origins in two reasons: increasing holidays and a saturated Seoul market.

According to experts, it is forecast that this phenomenon will continue to take a priority in the Busan dining market.
