English Tutoring Robot Era Ready to Go

It seems that robots teaching English and including other services, will be soon developed.
According to a source from the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Korea Advanced Intelligent Robotics Association (KAIRA) on Oct. 3 announced it would provide its network-based service (URC) system for 3 months (this month until December) to 64 households that applied for the system.
The URC, dubbed a robotic teacher, means the robot is equipped with abilities providing documents to those who applied for them, without time and place limitations.
During the pilot period, there will be three kinds of robots provided. The robots were created with an investment of 3 billion won by the Ministry and co-developed by 10 private enterprises. The main services are cleaning, home monitoring, weather forecast, news, information provision, etc.
The association said that from the second quarter of next year, it would be possible to provide robots that tell fairly tales, 365 English electronic Bible, songs, and travel and education services, as well as daily schedules, much like a secretary.
Currently, the English tutor robot is priced at 1 million won, which makes it possible to expedite use in the educational market, changing the shade of the market.
